In this FREE hands-on textile workshop, students will explore the intersection of design, sustainability, and community engagement. Through various textile techniques, they will create unique pieces while learning about sustainable materials, upcycling, and repurposing.
Objectives:
1. Introduce participants to textile design principles and techniques(sewing, knitting, natural dyeing etc).
2. Explore sustainable textile practices and materials.
3. Foster community engagement through collaborative design.
To ensure a personalized and hands-on learning experience, we're capping the workshop enrollment at 15 students.
This intimate setting allows for:
- Direct instructor feedback and guidance
- Meaningful interactions with fellow students
- Ample opportunities for questions and discussions
"Semester Style" Course:
This workshop is designed to be a comprehensive, multi-session course, similar to a college semester. Over the course of 5 weeks, we'll delve into various topics, techniques, and projects, building upon previous sessions.
Commitment to Attend Every Session: Due to the sequential nature of the course, it's essential that students commit to attending every session. Missing a session may disrupt the learning process and impact the overall experience.
